15+ Cold-Pressed Juice Recipes That Take 5 Minutes (Or Less)

junio 30, 2025

Cold-pressed juicing doesn’t have to be time-consuming. In fact, some of the best juices take just five minutes or less to make.

With the right juicer, you can enjoy a refreshing blend of fruits and vegetables without the hassle.

I’ll share some quick cold-pressed juice recipes that take little to no prep time and are packed with nutrients, perfect for busy mornings or mid-day pick-me-ups.

Is It Healthy to Drink Cold-Pressed Juice Every Day?

Yes, drinking cold-pressed juice daily can be healthy, as long as it’s part of a balanced diet that includes plenty of whole foods. However, relying solely on juice isn’t ideal for long-term nutrition unless you're doing a short-term juice cleanse.

Cold-pressed juices retain more nutrients than store-bought options, which are often loaded with added sugars and preservatives. That makes them a great addition to your routine, just not a complete replacement.

I recommend balancing juicing with eating fruits and vegetables in their whole form.

How Long Does It Take to Make Cold-Pressed Juice?

Making cold-pressed juice can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes, depending on the volume, ingredients, and the juicer.

The more juice you need to make, the longer it will take, as you’ll need to make it in batches, especially with a smaller cold-pressed juicer. Most of the time goes into prep, which depends on ingredients and whether your juicer can take whole fruits or vegetables.

Some ingredients like oranges, grapefruit, pineapple, and beets take longer, as they require peeling. On the other hand, berries, apples, and grapes hardly require any prep. Leafy greens also take some time, thanks to thorough washing.

If you have a juicer like Hurom, which cuts prep time significantly, you can make cold-pressed juice in minutes. For example, the Hurom H400 Slow Juicer takes less than a minute to assemble. It can also accommodate whole foods in its hopper, eliminating the need to cut them smaller. That means fresh, nutrient-rich juice with minimal effort and no time wasted.

How Long Does Homemade Cold-Pressed Juice Last?

Homemade cold-pressed juice can last up to 72 hours, provided it’s packed in an airtight container and refrigerated. Don’t let the juice sit at room temperature for hours. Either consume immediately or store it in the fridge.

Cold-Pressed Juice Recipes for Everyday

Here are some of my favorite cold-pressed juice recipes. They are quick, easy, and made with healthy ingredients you can find year-round.

1. Morning Glow

Bursting with beta-carotene-rich carrots, this bright juice may support healthy vision. The crisp apple provides the natural sweetness, which is the perfect way to start your day.

Estimated calories per serving: 131 calories

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium carrots

  • 1 medium apple, cored

  • ½ lemon, peeled

Instructions:

  1. Wash all produce thoroughly.

  2. Chop carrots in half.

  3. Place all the ingredients in the hopper of your Hurom juicer.

  4. Extract the juice.

  5. Stir, pour over ice, and enjoy immediately.

2. Green Daily

This basic green juice is easy to make and provides important nutrients. For instance, spinach is a great source of iron, something people are often deficient in. The cucumber makes this green drink light, while the apples add some sweetness and tanginess that mask the spinach flavor (in case you’re not a fan).

Estimated calories per serving: 110 calories

Ingredients:

  • ½ large cucumber

  • 2 cups fresh spinach

  • 1 medium green apple

Instructions:

  1. Rinse all produce well.

  2. Cut the cucumber and apple into chunks.

  3. Juice spinach first, then cucumber and apple.

  4. Serve chilled or over ice.

3. Citrus Refresh

Sweet orange and ruby grapefruit supply a powerful dose of immune-boosting vitamin C, while mint leaves cool you down on hot days. This is my favorite for days when I feel a cold coming on or need something light and relaxing.

Estimated calories per serving: 118 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium orange, peeled

  • ½ large grapefruit, peeled

  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Wash and prepare all ingredients.

  2. Feed the orange and grapefruit into the Hurom juicer.

  3. Roll mint into a tight bundle and add to the juicer.

  4. Chill briefly, then sip for an instant pick-me-up.

Cold-Pressed Juice Recipes for Weight Loss

In case you didn’t know, cold-pressed juices can be great for weight loss. Not all of them, of course, just the ones that are low in calories and packed with ingredients.

Here are three of my favorite juice blends that support weight loss and actually taste good too:

4. Slim Down Citrus

Metabolism-friendly ginger teams with lemon and cucumber for an ultra-light, zesty detox sipper. There has been plenty of research on how ginger may help with weight loss. It targets free radicals and even stabilizes blood sugars. Plus, this drink has barely any calories.

Estimated calories per serving: 25 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole lemon, peeled

  • ½ large cucumber, sliced

  • 1-inch knob fresh ginger, trimmed

Instructions:

  1. Rinse, peel, and chop ingredients as needed.

  2. Juice cucumber, ginger, and lemon in a Hurom juicer.

  3. Pour over ice and enjoy immediately.

5. Bloat Buster

When on a weight-loss diet, people often feel bloated because they’re eating more fiber. That can certainly be the case initially if you’re going from a fat-rich diet to something healthier. This drink may help prevent and ease bloating.

How? It’s the bromelain-rich pineapple that eases digestion. The addition of celery increases the antioxidants even further and brings down the glycemic index of the juice by balancing the sugars in the pineapple.

Estimated calories per serving: 101 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks

  • 2 large celery stalks, chopped

  • ½ lime, peeled

Instructions:

  1. Wash the pineapple and celery; peel the lime.

  2. Juice all three together with your Hurom juicer.

  3. Stir and drink fresh.

6. Fat Flush Green

I find green juices to be the best choice when I’m trying to shed some pounds. That’s because leafy greens typically have very low calories and numerous vitamins and minerals. This recipe calls for kale, which has a very low energy density. Plus, it has anti-cancer ingredients and may even help lower your cholesterol.

Estimated calories per serving: 129 calories

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chopped kale

  • 1 medium green apple, cored

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley sprigs

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the greens and the apple.

  2. Add all three ingredients to the hopper of your Hurom juicer or feed them through the chute.

  3. Run the juicer and extract.

  4. Drink immediately or refrigerate.

Cold-Pressed Juice Cleanse Recipes

Detox juice recipes can come in handy when you want to reset, flush out toxins, and feel lighter fast. Whether you’re doing a short cleanse or just need a health boost, these are a few of my go-to blends.

7. Detox Green

Although this is a green juice with spinach and cucumber, the real heroes of this recipe are lemon and ginger. These two ingredients make it an anti-inflammatory juice. The antioxidants in ginger (gingerol) and in lemon (phenols and flavonoids) have an anti-inflammatory effect and can fight disease-causing free radicals.

Estimated calories per serving: 38 calories

Ingredients:

  • 2 packed cups of spinach

  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced

  • ½ lemon, peeled

  • 1-inch piece of ginger

Instructions:

  1. Wash ingredients thoroughly.

  2. Juice spinach, cucumber, lemon, and ginger with Hurom.

  3. Stir and drink immediately.

8. Liver Love

If there’s one food that’s great for the liver, it’s beetroot. And this juice may be a good way to provide a cleanse. A study even explored the effect of beetroot on the liver and found that it has the potential to treat non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

This juice will have a strong beetroot taste, so feel free to add an apple to sweeten it a bit.

Estimated calories per serving: 150-180 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium beetroot, peeled

  • 2 medium carrots, chopped

  • 1 apple (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Scrub and peel as needed.

  2. Place the ingredients in the hopper of your Hurom juicer.

  3. Extract the juice and enjoy.

9. Clear Skin Cleanse

Cucumber has a calming, cooling effect on skin. However, it also provides hydration, which is often all your skin needs. You can place cucumbers on your eyes or mist cucumber water on your skin, but I believe the best hydration comes from within. This refreshing juice can pair well with your skincare routine.

Estimated calories per serving: 20 calories

Ingredients:

  • ½ large cucumber, sliced

  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves

  • ½ lemon, peeled

Instructions:

  1. Rinse produce well.

  2. Juice cucumber, mint, and lemon in your Hurom juicer.

  3. Add ice cubes and serve.

Cold-Pressed Juice Recipes for Energy

A good pick-me-up juice made in my masticating juicer is sometimes all I need to start the day just right. If you are also looking for an energy booster before hitting the gym, a nutritious glass of juice can do the trick.

10. Iron Boost

Iron doesn’t give you energy directly, but it helps your body use oxygen efficiently, which is key for fighting fatigue. This juice combines spinach and beetroot, both known for their iron content, with the refreshing sweetness of orange.

Estimated calories per serving: 104 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium beetroot, peeled

  • 1 medium orange, peeled

  • 1 cup of spinach

Instructions:

  1. Wash and prep all ingredients.

  2. Juice all the ingredients with your Hurom juicer.

  3. Stir and enjoy right away.

12. Kickstart Shot

This is actually an energy shot with potent ginger, carrots, and apples. Ginger helps regulate blood sugar, which keeps your energy levels regulated and prevents fatigue. Meanwhile, the natural sugars from the fruits give you a clean energy kick, especially if you take this shot before a workout.

Estimated calories per serving: 82 calories

Ingredients:

  • 2-inch knob fresh ginger, trimmed

  • 1 large carrot, chopped

  • ½ medium apple, cored

Instructions:

  1. Clean and chop produce.

  2. Place ginger, carrot, and apple in your Hurom juicer.

  3. Extract the juice.

  4. Shoot it fresh or dilute with cold water.

13. Tropical Power

Turmeric root brings natural curcumin, an antioxidant, while pineapple and orange add carbohydrates for sustained energy. Curcumin is anti-inflammatory, so this juice may be a good choice for individuals who feel fatigued due to a chronic condition.

Estimated calories per serving: 148 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks

  • 1 medium orange, peeled

  • 1-inch fresh turmeric root

Instructions:

  1. Rinse fruits; scrub turmeric.

  2. Add all three ingredients to your Hurom juicer.

  3. Extract the juice and serve immediately over ice.

Cold-Pressed Juice Recipes for Kids

Cold-pressed juice is also a fun, healthy way for kids to enjoy more fruits and vegetables. You can make it in batches and store it in reusable glass juice bottles. The kids can drink it in the morning or when they get back from school.

14. Sweet Rainbow

Sweet apple and carrot team up with vitamin C–rich strawberries to create a vibrant, kid-friendly juice. Just one cup of strawberries is enough to meet your child’s daily vitamin C requirement.

Estimated calories per serving: 147 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium apple, cored

  • 1 medium carrot, chopped

  • ½ cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse produce well.

  2. Thaw strawberries first if frozen.

  3. Add all ingredients to the hopper of your Hurom juicer.

  4. Extract and serve chilled in a fun cup.

15. Watermelon Punch

This is a thirst quencher, perfect for summers when kids are spending time outdoors playing. Watermelon packs in a lot of water content, which helps with hydration. The pineapple elevates the flavor, and mint brings freshness. Your kid will love this cold-pressed juice when they return from the playground.

Estimated calories per serving: 91 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup watermelon cubes

  • ½ cup pineapple chunks

  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Wash the fruits and mint.

  2. Juice everything together with your Hurom juicer.

  3. Serve immediately.

Cold-Pressed Vegetable Juice Recipes

You don’t always need fruit to make a great juice. Such juices are incredibly healthy as they have minimal sugar and loads of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

16. Garden Greens

Mineral-rich organic celery provides a healthy dose of potassium. Its antioxidants can potentially reduce the risk of conditions like high blood pressure, cancer, and even cognitive decline.

This juice's celery and cucumber have high water content, so it may turn out a bit watery. If you want some pulp (more fiber) in this green juice, I suggest using a juicer like the Hurom H70 Slow Juicer, which retains some pulp in the juice.

Estimated calories per serving: 62 calories

Ingredients:

  • 3 large celery stalks, chopped

  • 1 packed cup chopped kale

  • ½ large cucumber

Instructions:

  1. Rinse produce thoroughly.

  2. Juice kale, celery, and then cucumber in your Hurom juicer.

  3. Pour over ice and enjoy.

17. Mean Green Juice

This green juice isn’t the tastiest (hence the name), but it’s a powerhouse. It provides essential nutrients your body needs, such as nitrates from beetroot, which help regulate blood pressure and improve exercise performance.

Estimated calories per serving: 31 calories

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup spinach

  • ½ medium beetroot, peeled and chopped

  • ½ lemon, peeled

Instructions:

  1. Wash ingredients.

  2. Juice spinach and beetroot with lemon or add the lemon juice separately.

  3. Serve immediately for maximum freshness.

FAQs

What is the best combination of vegetables to juice?

The best vegetable juice combinations balance nutrients, taste, and digestion. A great base is celery, cucumber, and spinach for hydration and minerals, combined with carrot or beetroot for sweetness and antioxidants. Since vegetable juices can be bland or even bitter, adding a bit of lemon or ginger can improve flavor.

What is the 80/20 rule for juicing?

The 80/20 rule means using 80% vegetables and 20% fruits in your juice. This helps reduce sugar intake while still keeping the juice tasty. The goal of 80/20 juicing is to maintain a low glycemic impact, that is, preventing sudden insulin and blood sugar spikes.

Which ingredients are the easiest to prepare for juicing?

Cucumbers, celery, carrots, apples, and oranges are easy-to-prepare juicing ingredients. They usually require just a quick rinse and chop. Leafy greens like spinach or kale can be used whole, and citrus can be juiced with or without peeling, depending on your juicer.

What juices can be made in a cold-press juicer?

Cold-press juicers can handle a wide variety of ingredients, including leafy greens (like kale and wheatgrass), hard veggies (like carrots and beets), soft fruits (like oranges and grapes), and herbs (like parsley or mint). They preserve more nutrients and yield more juice than centrifugal juicers.

Can juicing have negative effects?

While juicing is generally healthy, excessive juicing, especially with too much fruit, can lead to high sugar intake, blood sugar spikes, and nutrient imbalances. It can also reduce fiber intake. Some juice ingredients may interfere with medications. If you’re taking medications, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider about foods to avoid.
